If they had stuck with the former, then the show would have stayed The worst mistake the show made, in my opinion, was switching protagonists from the space detective Angelica to the space pirate/bandit/whatever Mister. By the time the first episode ended, I was SALIVATING for more. The animation was wonderfully done, and the story's pace was smooth and quick. It had everything: an engaging setting, intriguing plot, intelligent (if slightly gluttonous) protagonist, spunky sidekick, and killer robot maids. Yeah, I can believe that, and I'm not flattering any of the three titles when I say it.Let's start off by saying that the first episode of this show was absolutely brilliant. I'd never read that review before I made the comparison above, but he basically says 'if you like Coyote Ragtime, you'll probably like Heat Guy J and Burst Angel'. Later on, I almost thought May might be interesting, but then. I started out thinking Angelica might be interesting, but by the second or third episode, I realized her character wasn't really going anywhere unexpected. There is quite a bit of profanity in this series. Basically, Coyote Ragtime Show tries to be nothing more than a fun show to watch - and it is fun. But the action sequences are pretty good and it does keep you on the edge of your chair. The story is really pretty simple and nothing we have not seen before.

Mister just happens to be imprisoned on this planet, and Angelica arrives just in time to see him escape.
